The zip file format is the most common format utilised across the internet for compressing a collection of files and directories into a single package.

Just think of it as a directory that may contain files and more sub-directories once its been opened by a zip utility program.

❓ How to zip files?

  1. Under "Select files to archive", click on browse (or your browser equivalent)
  2. Select all the files you wish to archive.
  3. Click "Zip Files". It will start compressing the files.
  4. Once all the files are compressed, the "Save Zip File" button will appear .
  5. Click "Save Zip File" to save the archive to your local drive.
